True North Technologies offers sealed enclosure for Revolution™ Electronic Compasses

(Maynard, MA), May 22, 2006 – True North Technologies has announced that it is now offering a sealed enclosure for its line of Revolution Electronic Compasses.  The Series 1590WBFL from Hammond Manufacturing was chosen for its die-cast aluminum construction, flanged base, and factory installed silicon gasket. It will come with a black textured powder paint finish, but custom painting is available. The external connector will be an Amphenol MS3470 which can be pre-wired for either RS232 or RS485.

Pricing and availability for Revolution compasses mounted in the sealed enclosure will be provided upon request.

“We have received numerous requests for sealed enclosures so it made sense to investigate a long term solution,” said David E. Pheifer, President of True North Technologies. He added, “We’ve been happy with Hammond products for the past five years, and we’re confident that our customers will share in our satisfaction.”
